Experience

Ricky has spent nearly a decade living and teaching in Shanghai, designing and delivering dynamic programmes across international schools, corporate seminars, and youth leadership workshops. His classroom experience spans some of the world's most respected pedagogical frameworks — including the Early Years Foundation Stage, Montessori, and the International Baccalaureate — giving him a research-informed understanding of how learners of all ages grow, think, and lead.

He has also built and led a recurring university workshop series engaging hundreds of students across Shanghai in entrepreneurship, global business thinking, structured debate, and presentation skills — helping students and professionals build the confidence to communicate and lead with conviction.

Academic Background

Ricky's multi-disciplinary foundation — a Master's degree, a London School of Economics certificate in Business, International Relations, and Political Economy, and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing — gives him both the rigour and the global perspective to build curriculum that is ambitious, evidence-based, and internationally relevant, while sharpening his students' written and spoken expression.

Entrepreneurship & Founder Experience

Before turning his focus to education full-time, Ricky worked on cross-border market entry strategy, advising companies on brand positioning, business registration, regulatory compliance, and cultural translation across the United States–China corridor. He is also Founder of Culture Brokers, a Shanghai-based consultancy, and Founder & Lead Instructor of the Sustainable Business & Leadership Program, mentoring the next generation of globally minded entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers.
